Splitting Models Into Multiple Pieces?

None of my models are pre-split into parts unless otherwise specifically stated for a certain reason (such as the Bloodborne Saw Cleaver being foldable). There are plenty of youtube videos and other resources out there on how to do it using free software such as Blender using boolean tools (my recommendation), Meshmixer (I don't like it but it is commonly used) or even 3D Builder which is included with Windows. I recommend including a pin on one side and a hole on the other of each split that you make for alignment and strength in assembly, for large FDM printed props I prefer holes on both sides so dowels can be inserted in each join instead as well as a central hole through the entire length for a rod to be inserted and provide strength for the whole thing. For miniatures I prefer to print in a single piece unless the model is too big for this, for models I have already printed for myself and had reason to separate into parts I may have separated files available on request in the future. Right now I have zero.
